Tony Nese Shares His Two Least Favorite Chants By Wrestling Fans

AEW’s upcoming console video game may be called ‘Fight Forever’ but Tony Nese is no fan of that chant.

Nese, a former Cruiserweight Champion, debuted for AEW in October 2021, four months after his release from WWE as part of ‘budget cuts.’

During an appearance on AEW Unrestricted, Nese argued that “fight forever” and “both these guys” take away from a match.

“My two least favorite chants in wrestling is ‘fight forever’ or ‘both these guys.’ It’s not a knock on anyone who gets that chant. But in my opinion, now you don’t care who wins. And I want people to literally want me to lose. I love the hate that I get a lot of times from people, especially on Twitter. They hate me. So when I see that, it’s job well done. I want people to absolutely despise my existence on the show.

“My wife’s a casual fan. She just watches because I watch. And every time Vickie Guerrero comes out with ‘Excuse me!’, my wife is always like ‘God, I cannot stand this lady. Someone, please shut her up.’ But that’s it. That’s the reaction you want.”

Nese’s most recent match for AEW saw him and Josh Woods defeat Dean Alexander and Rosario Grillo on the November 18, taping of AEW Dark.

His most recent televised match saw himself and Woods come up short against AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed on the October 21, Rampage.
