AEW President Tony Khan has claimed that WWE turned to AEW: Dark when scouting new talent.

Khan has never shied away from taking aim at WWE, previously accusing the company of using bots to criticize AEW on social media.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Khan made his most recent accusation, adding those who disagree are “full of sh*t.”

“At one point, I think AEW Dark was the premiere tryout system in America…There are plenty of people who would tell you that WWE was recruiting off AEW Dark during the pandemic. And if anybody says that’s not true, okay, whatever, you’re full of sh*t.”

Khan has yet to comment publicly on the backstage fight that took place at this week’s AEW Dynamite taping, which resulted in Andrade El Idolo being sent home.

It is believed that Andrade is trying to get out of his contract with AEW, and is reportedly one of multiple talents trying to leave.
