Triple H has praised LA Knight’s efforts at WWE Money in the Bank 2026, though many are finding the WWE Hall of Famer’s words to be hollow.
In the event’s opener, Knight challenged World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, but came up short once again in World Title action.
Speaking after the match, Triple H tried to put a positive spin on Knight’s defeat, arguing that the popular Superstar succeeded in proving himself.
“LA Knight, to me, left this match greater than he went in. LA Knight proved that he is a megastar. He proved that he belongs in that title scene and that he is a top attraction in this business. Roman Reigns proved there is only one Roman Reigns.”
On social media, however, many have criticized Triple H’s comments, arguing that fans have been hearing the same rhetoric for years about Knight.
The argument online is that, while Triple H often praises Knight as someone who ‘proves himself’ or is ‘ready’ for a top spot, wins continue to elude him.
This situation mirrors WWE Money in the Bank 2023, where Knight was a favorite to win the Men’s Ladder match, but lost in London, England.
At the time, Triple H reacted to a backlash among fans, suggesting that Knight had proved himself and that fans needed to be patient.
“I know LA Knight was a massive favourite coming in tonight, continuing that ascent. Great things come to those who wait, right? And I think that rise is just getting started.”
Knight is a two-time WWE United States Champion. With this latest loss, Knight is now 0-5 in World Championship matches in WWE.
