AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed had some fun at the expense of DX during this week’s episode of Dynamite.

Last night’s Dynamite featured a birthday celebration for Billy Gunn, who is a DX alum and now teams with The Acclaimed as ‘Daddy Ass.’

Addressing Gunn not making it to the D-Generation X reunion last month, Anthony Bowens said he hoped more of Gunn’s old friends would have shown up to Dynamite.

“To be honest with you, I’d planned so much more for tonight. I had special guests from Daddy Ass’s past, but unfortunately, two canceled last minute and the rest were kind of upset you didn’t go to the reunion.”

WWE and AEW were reportedly very close to a deal that would have allowed Gunn to appear on the October 10, 2022 episode of Monday Night RAW.

AEW reportedly wanted WWE to mention Gunn is working for All Elite Wrestling on RAW.
