Tessa Blanchard was not medically cleared to compete at TNA Border Brawl, despite initially downplaying reports.

It was reported on Sunday that Blanchard had not been cleared for in-ring action. Later, Tessa took to Instagram, sarcastically remarking that “the fake news kept her as the main event” — only to ultimately confirm that the report was accurate.

Blanchard had been scheduled to face Jody Threat, but revealed that she was unable to compete due to medical issues, citing symptoms such as ringing in her ears and severe jaw pain. She credited BIOFLEX with “saving her life.”

In her place, Blanchard introduced Vipress as a replacement. Vipress went on to defeat Jody Threat, aided by interference from Victoria Crawford. The victory gave Team USA a 5–3 lead over Team Canada in the ongoing competition.
