Teddy Long has shared some words of advice for Ricky Starks as questions remain about the former Tag Team Champion’s future in AEW.

Starks hasn’t been used on AEW programming since March. He was pulled from GCW appearances by Tony Khan last month.

On a recent edition of the “WrestleBinge” podcast, Long spoke about what Starks should remember during this uncertain time. He said,

“Here’s what Ricky Starks needs to understand — he’s under contract. They’re paying you, so just wait until they get ready. That’s all you got to do. Just while you’re off, get in the gym. Keep yourself in shape, you know what I mean? Stay ready, so when you do get that call, you’re ready to go.”

Starks has said that he has not been told the reason for his absence from AEW but has speculated as to why he’s not being used.
