WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase Sr. has competed in plenty of matches, but there’s no amount of money that’d convince him to climb a ladder.
On a recent edition of his “Everybody’s Got A Pod” podcast, DiBiase Sr. reflected on the popular match and why he’s glad he didn’t take part. He said,
“I’ve never been in a ladder match and again, I don’t think that I would ever want to be a ladder match. Nah, I’ve been in a steel cage match, I’ve been in a chain match, where you’re chained to each other and things like that. I’ve been in a Texas Deathmatch, been in a lot of that. But I’ve never been in a ladder match, and it’s kind of like, god bless the guys that are willing to go do that.”
DiBiase’s Steel Cage match came at an MSG house show in June 1988 and saw the Million Dollar Man lose to WWF Champion ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage.
Tonight, WWE will host its 15th Money in the Bank pay-per-view event which will feature a Men’s and Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
