At Sunday night’s TNA Impact TV tapings in Newport, Kentucky, AJ Francis (Top Dolla in WWE) defeated Laredo Kid to capture the Digital Media Championship.
This marks Francis’ first title reign in TNA, while Kid’s reign comes to an end at 28 days.

In other news, New Japan Pro Wrestling star Francesco Akira has been pulled from Tuesday’s show due to an injury.
NJPW issued the following statement to announce that Akira has suffered a knee injury and won’t be competing at their May 21st show in Himeji, Japan:
Francesco Akira injured; to miss May 21 Himeji action

Francesco Akira, who was scheduled to wrestle on May 21 in Himeji, has sustained an injury to his left knee and will not compete in his scheduled tag team match.
We apologise to fans who were looking forward to seeing Akira wrestle, and appreciate your understanding.
