A former WWE star has explained why joining TNA felt like the right next step in her career.

Shotzi Blackheart officially signed with the company on October 19, ending speculation about whether her recent appearances were only a short-term arrangement.

During a recent appearance on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Shotzi said that becoming a Knockout had been a goal long before she ever worked for WWE. She wrestled a few matches for TNA in 2018 and 2019, but did not get the chance to join the women’s division at that time. Now, she believes that the timing is finally right.

Shotzi further noted that TNA’s storytelling is her favorite part of wrestling. She has already appeared on television alongside Rosemary and Allie, and she teased that their unlikely connection could grow into something bigger.

Rather than simply moving from match to match, Shotzi wants to build a real storyline and have fun with her character. She also praised the Knockouts Division for its darker characters and wild weekly moments, calling it a unique edge that other women’s divisions haven’t matched.

Shotzi also believes that no one in the division currently brings what she does, and she plans to add even more boldness and attitude to the locker room.
