With Saturday Night’s Main Event XL taking place Saturday, July 12, 2025 being just two weeks away, WWE not only needed to add matches to the Evolution card for the day after (check out those match announcements here, here, and here), but to also add more to SNME.
Previously, the only match announced was Goldberg against Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. Now, we know a grudge match has been added to the lineup as well.
LA Knight and Seth Rollins will battle it out in a singles match with no gimmicks or stipulations—just a means for them to settle their issues in the ring, which have been heated ever since Money in the Bank. There, Rollins and his crew (Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed) had cost Knight the chance to win, and subsequently, Knight, Rollins, Breakker, and Reed have all been involved in numerous brawls, including one on tonight’s episode of Raw.
There is still some time to add more to the lineup, and there will assuredly be more than two matches on this show, but for now, Saturday Night’s Main Event card for July 12th sits at the following matches:
- LA Knight vs. Seth Rollins
- World Heavyweight Championship Match: Gunther (c) vs. Goldberg
