Scott D’Amore Tried To Book Ron Killings Before WWE Return

Ron Killings’ time outside of WWE was short-lived, but Scott D’Amore had hoped to bring the former R-Truth to Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling.

In his “Uncovered” column, D’Amore confirmed that he made moves to secure Killings after news broke of his WWE exit. He said,

“Obviously, I wanted to check if there was a chance that he could be legally cleared to appear at Maple Leaf Pro’s next big pay-per-view on July 5, but mainly we had a great talk about the outpouring of love from not just fans, but also Ronnie’s peers, when news broke he was done with WWE.”

Instead, Killings returned to WWE at the Money in the Bank 2025 pay-per-view event, where he attacked John Cena during the main event.

While Triple H has insinuated that Killings’ release was simply part of the show, various sources, including Killings, have said he was actually cut.

Killings cut his dreadlocks and ditched his comedic character during the RAW after Money in the Bank, marking a serious shift for the veteran.

During his promo, Killings told fans that “they heard, they listened, they felt,” referencing WWE bringing him back after fan backlash.
