The C2E2 pop culture convention announced today that Mercedes Varnado, aka Sasha Banks, will be appearing at their convention next month in Chicago. 

It takes place from August 5-7. The announcement read like the following:

This will be the first public appearance for Banks since she and Naomi walked out of a WWE Raw broadcast several months ago due to creative differences. 

As previously reported, Banks has been setting up signings for later this year. Over the weekend, she was removed from Peacock as an avatar for subscribers.

Banks and Naomi are no longer listed internally on the WWE roster, although they are still listed on the company’s website as active talents. It’s been reported by Dave Meltzer that Banks’ attorney is working on her release.
