Saraya has said it was a “rookie” error to check the response online after her first promo as part of All Elite Wrestling.

The former WWE Divas Champion joined AEW at the AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam in September, mere months after her WWE contract expired.

In her first promo, Saraya said “it’s nice to have a boss that finally listens to me,” which many saw as a dig at former WWE CEO Vince McMahon.

While speaking on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Saraya talked about her debut promo in the company and the negative response online.

“I hadn’t been around the wrestling community online in a while, and I made the rookie move to check it that week. That was my biggest regret is checking it because it made me feel awful and…I didn’t think it was that terrible. I was just getting in the swing of things, I was f*cking nervous, I let the nerves get the better of me and that’s on me.”

After a near-five-year absence from in-ring competition, Saraya competed at AEW Full Gear 2022, defeating Britt Baker.
