Santos Escobar has been pushed on WWE SmackDown since being called up to the main roster and aligned with Rey Mysterio to re-form the LWO alongside Rey, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, and Zelina Vega.
Before making it to the main roster, Escobar won the NXT North American Championship, although he has yet to be crowned a champion on either RAW or SmackDown.
Speaking to Phil Strum on Under The Ring, Escobar said he believes he’s ready for the big gold, including the WWE World Heavyweight Title. The first champion will be crowned at the WWE Night of Champions 2023 pay-per-view event. Escobar said,
“I just saw Triple H announce a new championship. I feel ready for that. That’s how high my note is right now.”
