Sammy Guevara has been absent from AEW television for several weeks because he has been suspended by the company.
This suspension came after a scary incident involving Jeff Hardy during a No DQ Match on a recent episode of AEW Rampage.
According to a report from Fightful Select, “Hardy sustained an injury, and concussion protocol was not followed, which resulted in Sammy Guevara hitting his finisher on Hardy, which we’re told shouldn’t have happened.”
The duration of the suspension and Guevara’s return date remain unknown. It is worth noting that Guevara did work in a No DQ match against Powerhouse Hobbs following the Hardy match. As for Hardy, there is currently no set timetable for his return.
