WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns was victorious at Money in the Bank, retaining his championship against LA Knight.
Speaking to Cathy Kelley after the match, Reigns reflected on another title defense and made bold claims about the championship. He said,
“Everybody wants this. Not too long ago, this was second prize; this was second fiddle, and now it’s the most coveted prize in the game. Because the Tribal Chief made it that way.”
Reigns has held the gold since WrestleMania 42, where he beat CM Punk. He is a multi-time World Champion and WrestleMania headliner.
For the OTC, retaining the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of a WWE pay-per-view event is hardly a surprise. He said,
“This is the position, and this is what I was born for. Always ready.”
Reigns will now look to deal with 946, who brawled with The Usos and Solo Sikoa at the event, as well as the new Mr. Money in the Bank, PENTA.
