Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

Let’s keep the predictions gauntlet going this week and shift our focus to Ring of Honor with ROH Supercard of Honor 2025, taking place Friday night opposite WWE SmackDown.

My question for you today is “What are your predictions for Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor 2025?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

Singles Match for the ROH World Championship: Bandido (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita

This match is probably going to be very good, and the only thing on this card that I’m genuinely disappointed I might miss by having to watch SmackDown at the same time. The rest, I could give or take depending on the segment.

I think there’s a good chance Takeshita wins the title, but I’m leaning a bit more toward Bandido because they did spend so much time building up Bandido. For him to lose the title this relatively early would be a surprise. Plus, I think we all assume Takeshita is going to start a program with Kazuchika Okada soon over the AEW Unified Championship, if not be his successor, so this could be considered a downgrade if he’s ROH champion.

Singles Match for the ROH Women’s World Championship: Athena (c) vs. Thunder Rosa

Athena’s held this title forever. She might as well hold it longer. I don’t think Thunder Rosa’s the right choice to beat her. Whether that’s still Billie Starkz or not, I’m not sure, as I’m not following the product. But Rosa just doesn’t strike me as the big endgame.

Tag Team Match for the ROH World Tag Team Championship: The Sons of Texas (Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara) (c) vs. The Infantry (Capt. Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo)

Not watching ROH admittedly handicaps my ability to gauge whether or not certain people have the right momentum, or if a champion has grown stale. I do think there’s a very good chance The Infantry win these titles here, as I can’t think of anyone who would come in to take priority or whatever. But just the same, Tony Khan could really love Dustin Rhodes holding both sets of tag titles.

Don’t bet based on my predictions, but I’ll go with The Infantry.

Singles Match for the ROH World Television Championship: Nick Wayne (c) vs. Titán

As an outsider, I could be missing something of course, but this doesn’t at all strike me as a situation where Nick Wayne is being set up to drop the title. Instead, this strikes me much more as Tony Khan looking at the list of wrestlers available for him to pick from and then saying “I think I would like to see this match” and that’s basically it. Essentially, just another example of pairing up action figures.

Pure Wrestling Rules Match for the ROH Pure Championship: Lee Moriarty (c) vs. Blue Panther

People have held this title that weren’t truly in the AEW fold. I have a sneaking suspicion that’s happening here again, too. Blue Panther was given much of a spotlight recently, and I think with the AAA/WWE connection and Grand Slam Mexico going down with AEW, that All Elite Wrestling wants to better their relationship with CMLL. Having one of their guys hold this title will allow for more crossovers and strengthen that partnership.

Buuuuuuut…this is Blue Panther. Not Blue Panther Jr. And I don’t think the veteran is in a spot to win this title. Instead, I think this is a means to get a veteran on a spot like this because it makes for a more interesting card than just some random guy on the ROH roster, and you should use those talents while you still can for a fun time if they can pull it off. Moriarty gets his win back.
