The USA Network season premiere of WWE Friday Night SmackDown as part of WWE Week was positioned as a special event, complete with a new logo, intro theme, and a few extra surprises along the way.
One of those bonus moments was a quick shot of two WWE legends in attendance, as it was quickly shown that Rob Van Dam (along with his girlfriend Katie Forbes) and Vickie Guerrero were in the crowd watching the action.
Raw’s World Heavyweight Champion Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser were also shown scoping the blue brand’s competition.

While just a brief shot, it’s always nice to see some former WWE Superstars make their way back into the fold. Who’s to tell if this will lead to anything else in the future, be it more appearances or maybe even a match for RVD?
