Road Dogg Says WWE Didn’t Push Aiden English Because Of His Looks

Aiden English never had a consistent push in WWE because of how he looks, according to ‘Road Dogg’ Jesse James.

English was with WWE from 2012 to 2020 and competed as part of the Vaudevillains with Simon Gotch.

Later on, English appeared as part of the Rusev Day stable with Rusev (AEW’s Miro) and Lana (CJ Perry.)

On his Oh…You Didn’t Know podcast, James discussed why English never made it as a singles star.

“I don’t think a lot of people were behind Aiden English from the get-go, and I think it was totally about his looks. Because if it was about anything else, you would know he is extremely talented.

“He is great on the mic. He works now with IMPACT as a commentator and is really good at it. Did that at NXT for a while.”

English joined Impact Wrestling after his release from WWE, but recently said that he expects 2022 to be his last year as a wrestler.
