Ricky Starks Calls AEW Hiatus A “Mindf***”, Capable Of Much More

Ricky Starks has shared that his AEW hiatus has been a “mindf***“, close to eight months after his most recent match for Tony Khan’s promotion.

Starks’ most recent match was on the March 30th edition of AEW Collision where he and Big Bill lost to Top Flight.

Since then, Starks hasn’t been used in any capacity, despite being healthy and medically cleared to wrestle.

On a recent edition of the “Insight” podcast, Starks candidly addressed his absence from AEW programming. He said,

“I have been working out, staying in shape, being in the ring still. I have been travelling and doing that stuff because that’s still I have in control. It’s such a mindf*** for me because I am capable and I am of sound body and mind.”

In August, it was reported that those in AEW believe Starks doesn’t want to stay, which has affected the decision to not use him on TV.

Starks recently vented his frustrations at a GCW event. The former FTW Champion was backstage at the recent AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event.
