Ric Flair Abandons His NBA Team, Finn Balor Punches His Ticket To WWE SummerSlam 2026

Finn Balor has officially punched his ticket to WWE SummerSlam 2026.

During this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Sami Zayn appeared and expressed his frustration over being left out of the WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2026.

SmackDown General Manager Adam Pearce interrupted and announced that Zayn would instead compete in a No. 1 Contender’s Match at SummerSlam 2026. His opponent would be determined later in the night in a Fatal Four-Way Match featuring Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Trick Williams, and Royce Keys.

The main event featured plenty of chaos, with Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu interfering before The Usos and LA Knight got involved to even the odds. Amid the mayhem, Balor capitalized by connecting with a Coup de Grace on Priest to secure the victory.

With the win, Balor advances to SummerSlam 2026, where he will face Sami Zayn in a No. 1 Contender’s Match for an opportunity to challenge for the WWE Championship.

Ric Flair is all-in on the Philadelphia 76ers following LeBron James’ blockbuster move.

Just months after criticizing Luka Doncic for sitting out with a hamstring injury during the playoffs because he wanted to see the Los Angeles Lakers make a deep postseason run, Ric Flair has switched allegiances.

“The Nature Boy” is now backing the Philadelphia 76ers, and his support is centered around one player – LeBron James.

Flair explained that his ties to Philadelphia run deeper than James’ arrival, noting that he has long-standing friendships with 76ers icons Charles Barkley and Allen Iverson.

James officially signed with the 76ers on Friday, more than three weeks after informing the Lakers that he would not be returning for a ninth season with the franchise.

With the move, James joins reigning 76ers star and longtime wrestling fan Joel Embiid, giving Philadelphia one of the NBA’s most star-studded duos heading into the new season.
