Rhea Ripley has been among the most dominating women on the WWE roster. Her size and power has set her apart from her colleagues. However, one spot back in her NXT days still affects Ripley’s lower back.

Speaking on the “Insight with Chris Van Vliet” podcast, Ripley opened up about her back issues. She explained how it started and how it is at the moment. She said,
“Normally, my lower back, especially lately. I don’t know what’s been going on. I think it actually started from the match I had with Raquel in NXT where she gave me the back body drop onto the announcement table.”
“But we undershot it and I hit the very edge of the table, like right on my lower back and after that, my lower back was, like, just never the same.”
“But, I mean, I do whatever I can to try and make it better. I have our masseuse, Matthew, come over and he works on it, he helps stretch me out and puts my hips back in line pretty much and just fixes all of that and it’s like, thank goodness.”
“I do that and thank God for him that he comes over to help, because sometimes it gets really bad. I didn’t think that I would be able to wrestle at WrestleMania 41.”
Ripley is gearing up for WWE Evolution 2, where she’ll take on IYO SKY. This will be for the WWE Women’s World Championship. The match has had zero build-up, and some fans are unhappy with Ripley getting a title shot with no proper kayfabe reason.
Meanwhile, Tiffany Stratton will defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Trish Stratus at the pay-per-view event. The winner will face Jade Cargill at SummerSlam while Naomi watches on with her Money in the Bank briefcase, waiting for the right moment to cash in.
