Following the departure of Pat Buck from WWE this past Monday, WWE is looking for new producers.
According to a report from Fightful, Curtis Axel and Ariya Daivari were both backstage at this week’s WWE SmackDown TV tapings and were working as producers in a tryout capacity.
Axel (Joe Hennig) helped Tyson Kidd (TJ Wilson) produce the Liv Morgan vs. Sasha Banks match.
Additionally, Ariya Daivari worked with Chris “Abyss” Park to produce the Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn match.
WWE released Joe Hennig (Axel) on April 30, 2020 due to “budget cuts”. Ariya Daivari was released in June of 2021.
Ariya Daivari’s brother Shawn works as a producer in the company.
