Report – TNA Is Still Interested In These Two Talents

TNA continues to have its eye on two standout independent wrestlers.

Josh Bishop and J-Rod were both in attendance at TNA Lockdown 2026 this past Sunday, fueling speculation that the company could be interested in bringing them aboard. Both wrestlers previously participated in WWE’s SummerSlam 2026 tryouts, adding further intrigue to their appearances at the event.

J-Rod is a four-year veteran who has gained additional attention as Supernova on American Gladiators. Bishop, meanwhile, has prior experience with TNA, having worked for the company on a per-appearance basis.

According to a report from Fightful Select, TNA remains interested in signing both Bishop and J-Rod.

Additionally, TNA has been paying close attention to Fourth Rope, the independent promotion operated by rapper Westside Gunn. In fact, Fourth Rope was a major reason TNA initially became interested in Bishop.

The promotion has also served as a scouting ground for another recent TNA signing, Joe Alonzo. Alonzo was signed by TNA following an in-arena exclusive match at Lockdown 2026 against Home Town Man. The stipulation was that if Alonzo won, Santino Marella would award him a TNA contract. Alonzo picked up the victory and earned the deal.

Fourth Rope has attracted attention from outside of TNA as well. Zilla Fatu, who was recently signed by WWE NXT, revealed last year that one of his favorite matches came in Fourth Rope, where he faced former WWE star Enzo Amore.
