Necro Butcher’s WWE Legends deal reportedly has a specific purpose, with the company looking to bring the hardcore wrestling veteran into future WWE video games.
According to a report from Pwinsider, one of the primary reasons behind the agreement was to make Necro Butcher available for appearances in upcoming WWE video game releases. WWE President Nick Khan reportedly played a personal role in pushing for the deal, recognizing the longtime deathmatch wrestler’s reputation and the potential value of adding him to the franchise.
The news offers some insight into a signing that caught many wrestling fans off guard. Necro recently revealed that he had agreed to a basic WWE Legends deal despite never competing for the company. He described the timing as “ridiculous,” noting that the offer came just one day after he left his regular job. He also suggested that the agreement could open the door to several WWE-related projects, although he intends to approach those opportunities at his own pace.
