Report – Some Released WWE NXT Talents May Never Wrestle Again

WWE’s latest wave of developmental releases could have consequences that go far beyond simply ending the wrestlers’ time with the company. According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp, some of the talent recently let go may never return to the wrestling business at all.

WWE recently parted ways with Jasper Troy, PJ Vasa, Wendy Choo, Adriana Rizzo, Zena Sterling, Braxton Cole, Anya Rune, Marcus Brown, Ellen Akesson and referee Gary Wilson. While some of those names are expected to continue pursuing opportunities elsewhere, others may have already reached the end of their in-ring careers.

The topic was discussed during the September 8 episode of Fightful Select’s Q&A, where Sapp was asked whether he knew which of the released wrestlers intended to continue competing. He said,

“No, I don’t know of the ones who have confirmed either way.”

“I know Erica Demia will because she’s Anya Rune. She’s wrestling over 100 times a year. I would imagine Wendy Choo does as well.”

“A lot of the ones that started in the Performance Center and were recruited as non-wrestlers, a lot of those people we are never going to see wrestle again. Never ever.”

“They might do some signings or something like that. We will never see a lot of those people wrestle.”
