Report – Shane McMahon & Mercedes Mone Meet In New York City, AEW Discussed

Shane McMahon and Mercedes Mone ran into each other in New York City on Monday.

Pwinsider is reporting that multiple sources have confirmed that Mone and McMahon were both spotted at LaGuardia International Airport in New York City on Monday morning as they headed for separate flights.

The two spoke for quite some time and there was some talk among the two regarding All Elite Wrestling. As of this writing, there’s no word on the nature of that talk. As you’d expect, Mone immediately notified several of her friends and colleagues about the encounter.

As we reported here on eWn, Conrad Thompson recently revealed that he had been told McMahon had interest in appearing for AEW. Several higher-ups in AEW and Tony Khan himself have said that there haven’t been any talks. With that being said, “TK” recently stated that Shane was “always welcome in AEW.”

It’s worth noting that McMahon, who lives in the New York City area, was not backstage at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door 2024.
