WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Garcia is said to be furious at the brazenness of Artem Chigvintsev amid the couple’s ongoing divorce.
Garcia, known to WWE fans as Nikki Bella, filed for divorce on September 11, after Chigvintsev’s arrest on August 29.
The Dancing With The Stars performer was arrested and charged with corporal injury of a spouse. He was released on bail that same day.
In an update, Life & Style is reporting that Garcia is “absolutely furious” that Chigvintsev is seeking spousal support after she filed for divorce.
Not only is Chigvintsev seeking spousal support, but it’s reported that he wants Garcia to pay the fees for his attorney.
Garcia is said to be “dumbfounded by Artem’s audacity and lack of shame” and hopes a judge will see through “his disgusting and exploitative cash grab.”
The former WWE Divas Champion was reportedly encouraged to divorce Chigvintsev by her sister Brie Garcia after the alleged violence.
Chigvintsev is seeking joint custody of the couple’s four-year-old son Matteo. Garcia is seeking sole custody but is open to visitations by Chigvintsev.
The couple met in 2017 during Garcia’s time on Dancing With The Stars and they would announce their engagement in late 2019.
The pair tied the knot in August 2022 and celebrated their second wedding anniversary days before Chigvintsev’s arrest.
