According to a report from Jason Solomon, former AEW World Champion MJF has undergone surgery on his left shoulder.
WrestlePurists is also reporting that while MJF was originally aiming for a March return and met with Tony Khan in Boston to discuss creative plans, he’ll be out of action for much longer due to the surgery. The “Salt of the Earth” had originally opted to do physical therapy to try and avoid surgery, but that didn’t work out as he had hoped.
It is said that the injuries to both MJF and Adam Cole have dramatically affected AEW’s creative plans.
As of this writing, there is no word on when MJF will be able to return.
