The reigning AEW TNT Champion has become a regular presence on AEW television while repeatedly calling for an opportunity at the AEW World Championship. According to a report from Fightful Select, that title shot may not be far away.
According to sources within AEW, Knight has been discussed internally as a challenger for the AEW World Championship in the near future, with a match at the upcoming AEW Redemption pay-per-view event reportedly still a possibility. Knight is being lined up for programs with several wrestlers positioned at the World Title level, further signaling that AEW views him as a rising main-event talent.
