Corey Graves’ move to WWE NXT commentary is reportedly a temporary one, with plans for him to rejoin the main roster commentary team during football season.
On today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that the shift comes due to the return of Pat McAfee. While Graves is considered by many to be WWE’s best color commentator, WWE has chosen to go with Wade Barrett instead.
Meltzer said, “He’s going to be off [the main roster] until football season, then he’ll come back.”
Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett are manning the booth on SmackDown these days.
