Wardlow may have come up short in his efforts to regain the TNT Championship this week, but don’t count him out yet.

Wardlow lost the TNT title to Samoa Joe at AEW Full Gear last month, and is a double champion, as he also holds the ROH World Television Championship.

During last night’s Dynamite, Wardlow challenged Joe for the TNT title but passed out to the coquina clutch.

Fightful Select reports that while Wardlow didn’t win last night, there has been some “heavy internal discussion” about putting the title back on him “soon.”

In an update, it was said that “soon” refers to either heading into or at AEW Revolution in March 2023.

After their title match this week, Samoa Joe cut off Wardlow’s ponytail with scissors after attacking referee Paul Turner.
