Report – Adam Copeland Cleared For Physicality

Adam Copeland (formerly known as Edge in WWE) has made significant progress in his recovery from the serious injury he sustained at AEW’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view event earlier this year.

According to a report from Pwinsider Elite, Copeland has now been cleared for physical activity, which suggests he’s in the final stages of his recovery. However, AEW fans will likely have to wait a bit longer for his in-ring return, as Copeland is still filming the second season of Disney’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, which is set to wrap up in January 2025.

Copeland’s injury occurred after a dramatic moment at Double or Nothing, when he jumped off a barbed wire steel cage and fractured his tibia. The injury required surgery, and as a result, he was forced to forfeit the TNT Championship to Jack Perry at Forbidden Door.

While Copeland had no clear timeline for his recovery when he spoke to Sports Illustrated in September, stating that he could walk and move around but still felt some deficiency, the fact that he is now cleared for physicality is a positive sign.

Tony Khan, AEW’s CEO, has also expressed hope that Copeland will return to AEW soon, but with his commitments to filming, his AEW return is expected to happen after the new year.
