A reference alluding to former World Heavyweight Champion Chris Benoit slipped by on this week’s edition of SmackDown.
Benoit, once considered one of the greatest technical wrestlers ever, has had his name blackballed from WWE after killing his wife Nancy, son Daniel and then himself in June 2007.
During SmackDown, Pat McAfee referred to Butch as “Rabid Wolverine” a nickname used for Benoit when he wrestled for the company.
There’s no word yet on how WWE will respond of if McAfee will face a punishment.
