As reported this week, WWE began referring to Riddle as “Matt Riddle” on Raw, and it now seems his first name is back on the company’s website. A new report may’ve revealed why the company decided to shorten the name in the first place.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE didn’t want fans to research Riddle’s marijuana history, which ultimately led to his downfall in UFC. However, the stigma surrounding Riddle’s marijuana use seemingly has changed, with him making semi-references to it on television. Riddle is set to face Seth Rollins this weekend at Clash at the Castle.
