Predictions For AAA x WWE: Worlds Collide 2025? | Question Of The Day

Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

Third on our list of this week’s special events will be the crossover show between WWE and AAA dubbed Worlds Collide 2025. It’s set to go down starting at 3pm ET on YouTube tomorrow (Saturday, June 7th), and we’ll be having live coverage of the results for the show, as per usual, so be sure to stick around and chat it up during that broadcast!

In the meantime, it doesn’t appear the card is going to change, even though there’s always a chance Friday Night SmackDown includes some sort of last-minute alteration. Whatever the case may be, let’s take the current lineup and toss out some predictions.

My question for you today is “Who do you think will win at Worlds Collide 2025?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

Tag Team Match: Stephanie Vaquer and Lola Vice vs. Chik Tormenta and Dalys

WWE loves them some Stephanie Vaquer in 2025. I don’t blame them. She’s awesome and deserves every bit of the push she’s getting. It’s kind of crazy how much they’ve had her do in this whirlwind of just six months, winning the NXT Women’s North American Championship, becoming double champion by beating Giulia for the NXT Women’s Championship, beating everyone imaginable, losing the title in a fluke and then immediately being called up to the main roster and qualifying for the Money in the Bank. That’s a lot.

Since there’s no title for her to defend in some follow-up to this, and she’s been so protected, the only way she loses this is if Lola Vice takes the pin. Even still, I think Vaquer’s scoring the pin for her team, instead.

Fatal 4-Way Match for the NXT North American Championship: Ethan Page (c) vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Laredo Kid vs. Rey Fénix

I’m a bit on the fence about this one. Laredo Kid has no chance, and if Rey Fenix wasn’t on the SmackDown roster, I would give him a major boost, but I can’t see someone from the blue brand holding an NXT title at this moment.

Either Ethan Page retains, and the plan is to follow up with another match against Ricky Saints in the near future, or he drops it to Je’Von Evans and part of the plan was to have a title change hands on this show, so this was their call.

Given that Sean Legacy fights the winner of this match on next Tuesday’s NXT, and that whole story started with him challenging Evans, there is some chance Evans walks out with this belt. I’d say 60/40 I’m leaning toward Page retaining, though.

Six-Man Tag Team Match: Legado Del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Angel, and Berto) vs. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Pagano, and Psycho Clown

This is a toss-up. If Angel and Berto are getting a tag title opportunity in the near future at Triplemania Regia on June 15th, you’d think that they would want to come out of this looking strong, right? But Legado del Fantasma have been having issues as of late, and that could play into a loss.

I don’t know anything about nearly any of the AAA guys, sorry to say. I don’t know if these three are such big stars that having them lose would be a problem. But for now, I’m going to say Legado takes this.

Six-Man Tag Team Match: Latino World Order (Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro, and Joaquin Wilde) vs. Octagón Jr., Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana

If you’re giving a win to Page and Legado and Vaquer’s team, it can’t just be all WWE folk coming out on top. This is one of the two matches where I think AAA will end up standing tall.

Again, I know nothing about the three AAA talents. Mr. Iguana seems like a comedic character, but I don’t know if he’s a Santino Marella “lovable loser” type who will take the pin, or if he’s more just humorous and actually wins.

Nevertheless, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, and Dragon Lee lose more often than they win. They can take another loss here and it’s not going to change the trajectory of their WWE careers, especially after Dragon Lee just got an eight-man tag team win on NXT.

Singles Match for the AAA Mega Championship: El Hijo del Vikingo (c) vs. Chad Gable

The one match I’m absolutely certain on is that El Hijo del Vikingo is absolutely 100% not going to drop the AAA Mega Championship to Chad Gable. Not a chance. That would be crazy. It’s not even El Grande Americano wrestling here, as he’s going under that gimmick for Money in the Bank.

I think Vikingo versus Santos Escobar is a plan for something coming up, possibly at Triplemania, and that part of the reason why this is Gable wrestling here instead of Americano is so that he can lose.
