The AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event on Sunday, June 26 in Chicago, IL at the United Center is off to a strong start as the pre-sale tickets for the show sold out in under 40 minutes this morning.
WrestleTix reports the current set up is 14,000 and there were over 20,000 people in the queue to buy tickets. AEW will have the general sale tickets available on Friday morning, but they are expected to sell out quickly.
AEW will present its next pay-per-view event, Double Or Nothing, on May 29th with the main event of AEW World Champion Adam Page defending against CM Punk.
Instant presale sell out for the AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door show at the United Center. Less than 40 minutes (mostly because AEW didn’t release every ticket initially) and well over 20,000 people in the queue.
They did hold back some sections for the general public on-sale tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/pBa3impsIl
