An old clip featuring LA Knight has resurfaced on social media, showing the WWE star parodying a popular political figure during one of his earlier wrestling appearances.
Knight has become one of WWE’s most recognizable stars in recent years. Following a strong run in NXT, he initially moved to the main roster as Max Dupri under Vince McMahon’s regime. However, after Triple H took over WWE, Knight returned to his familiar LA Knight persona and quickly connected with fans.
The Megastar’s outspoken promos, larger-than-life personality, and ability to back up his trash talk inside the ring helped turn him into a major attraction. Despite experiencing some questionable booking along the way, Knight has remained popular with WWE audiences. He is currently part of the Monday Night RAW roster and recently set his sights on World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns.
The resurfaced footage was shared on X by WRKD Wrestling. In the vignette, Knight can be seen wearing a wig while portraying a character called El Hijo de Trump, presented as the alleged son of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Knight used the character to mock Trump, even imitating his well-known “fake news” catchphrase while taking a shot at his opponent, Blue Demon Jr.
Meanwhile, Knight’s current WWE storyline has seen him directly challenge Reigns.
Following his hard-fought victory over Seth Rollins at SummerSlam, Reigns opened the August 3 edition of RAW by celebrating his accomplishment and declaring himself the greatest WWE Superstar of all time.
The OTC’s celebration was interrupted by Knight, who confronted the World Heavyweight Champion face-to-face.
Knight reminded Reigns that he had been pursuing a championship opportunity for months, only for the champion to repeatedly send his cousins after him instead of stepping into the ring himself. Knight also brought up their previous encounter, claiming that Reigns needed assistance to defeat him.
The Megastar then challenged Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Reigns dismissed Knight, arguing that he had not earned the credibility necessary to challenge for the title. Knight fired back by declaring himself the uncrowned world champion and challenged Reigns to face him if he had the guts.
With that, Knight walked away, leaving the door open for a potential showdown with the World Heavyweight Champion.
