DEFY Champion Nick Wayne will make his AEW debut this summer.
Wayne tied the series in his rivalry with AEW’s Swerve Strickland in a rematch for the DEFY Title on Saturday night in Seattle, Washington, when he scored a win to capture the title.
Post-match, Strickland said that their third match would happen in AEW on an episode of Dynamite after Wayne turns 18.
July 12th is the first Wednesday after Wayne’s birthday, so that appears to be when Wayne makes his promotional debut.
Wayne signed a contract with AEW last February after being offered a contract by Darby Allin at a DEFY event.
