New PROGRESS Women’s Champion Crowned In Historic Title Change

The PROGRESS Wrestling Women’s Championship is back around the waist of Rhio, who has also made PROGRESS history with this title win.

Rhio won the title at PROGRESS Wrestling: Chapter 196: Scorchio on July 26th, ending the reign of Alexxis Falcon.

With this victory, Rhio becomes the first-ever three-time champion. She previously held the title from 2023 to 2024 and also in 2025.

Rhio also boasts the record for the most title defenses with 24 over all of her reigns, Toni Storm, the inaugural champion, is in second place with 14 defenses.

Falcon had held the title since January, when she dethroned Rayne Leverkusen, who now wrestles as part of WWE NXT as Lizzy Rain.

Rhio is someone WWE has had its eye on for some time. She has participated in WWE tryouts and has been used as an extra on WWE RAW.
