Last week on WWE SmackDown, Giulia was slated to be in action against Blake Monroe. This was set to be Monroe’s in-ring debut on the main roster. However, even before the match began, Monroe assaulted Giulia during her entrance. The Beautiful Madness getting jobbed out has raised questions regarding her booking.

Speaking on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Bully Ray claimed that Giulia’s on-screen character needs a change. The veteran said,

“I don’t think they’re as concerned about Giulia. As much as I love Giulia, I have been very honest about her in the WWE from day one. I always said I thought the transition from STARDOM would be very difficult for her. Her character needs some fine-tuning. She might need a change. And we discussed this — she comes from a Japanese and an Italian background. What do Japanese and Italian have in common? The mafia. Maybe she turns into some kind of mafia-esque Yakuza boss, blah, blah, blah, something.”

WWE Hall Of Famer Comments On Giulia’s Run

In an episode of his “The AJ Styles Show,” Styles shared his thoughts on the former Women’s United States Champion. According to Styles, Giulia is a professional, and she doesn’t need fans to defend her over her current booking. The WWE Hall of Famer said,

“I think it was probably more the internet because I think Giulia is a professional and she knows that this is a business. But I think the fans sometimes defend the wrestler when they don’t need to.”

“But there may be the story there that we’re doing based on the match that happened. Just because the match happened doesn’t mean we can’t go back to it. Um, and have a story, maybe. You know, maybe this is the start of a story for Giulia and going back and winning that match. Just, you know, I’m not so sure, but like before we get pi**ed off about what’s going on with Giulia, let’s see where it goes.”
