Former WWE and ECW star Dawn Marie recently opened up about her life at 50. She is now embracing a very different career path. Marie revealed that OnlyFans has become her full-time gig. Appearing on “The Velvet Ropes” show, Marie explained why the platform feels surprisingly familiar to her.
Her wrestling background still influences how she approaches the work. The 55-year-old sees entertainment as the key connection between both worlds. Marie enjoys creating content, building themes, and interacting with fans. The former WWE star said,
“You know, it’s like why not be like, why, why can’t I do OnlyFans? Like 50 is sexy. It’s all, like I love talking with them. Yeah. And I do everything. Like I’m — this is like my full-time gig now, right? Because like I love it.”
“Like I’m always buying — I just built a studio in my house and, um, so like it’s — okay, I relate everything in my life to wrestling because that’s the only thing I know.”
“With wrestling I always say to people the hardest part about being successful in wrestling is not the moves or this or that. How do you go out there every single time and entertain those fans, the same fans week after week after week in a different way, but still be consistent, right?”
A New Stage For The Former WWE Star Marie
Furthermore, during the interview, Marie claimed that she focuses on creativity instead of simply repeating what worked before. She creates different looks and settings for her audience. She also uses music, costumes, backdrops, and live sessions.
Most importantly, Dawn Marie wants to embrace her current identity. The former WWE star is not trying to recreate her younger self. She wants to show fans who she is today. Marie said,
“So like that was always like the creative side of me because, you know, of being Dawn Marie, the character. So I’m really enjoying this OnlyFans because I’m doing the same thing. Like I have costumes and I’m like putting stuff together and I put the music with it and I do my lives and I have like different backdrops.”
“And you know, how can I be Dawn Marie, my character, at my age now? Sure. You know, and, and, and just love enjoying entertaining. It’s just a different stage.”
“I can tend to be a little bit of a recluse. So like if I’m hiding and no one’s gonna see me, I’m like, ‘Yeah, okay. Peace. I’ll sit on the couch.’ But it’s nice now because it’s like I feel like I’m back in my own skin much more than I was for many years.”
“Like I’m not chasing who I was. That’s what I want to point out. Like I’m not trying to be who I was. I’m being who I was now, like Dawn Marie in her 50s.”
