Earlier today, reports surfaced that Mariah May has parted ways with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), as her profile has been removed from the company’s official roster page — a move that typically signals free agency.

Multiple sources within WWE have indicated that May is expected to join the company soon. The company expressed immediate interest upon hearing she might become available. However, due to standard contractual restrictions, WWE is prohibited from initiating contact until talent are officially free agents.

Representatives for May have clarified that her AEW contract has not yet officially expired, while WWE sources confirmed that no deal has been finalized at this time. Nonetheless, it is widely expected that May will sign with WWE once her AEW contract formally concludes.

Backstage in AEW, there was a general belief that May would eventually head to WWE following the conclusion of her storyline with Toni Storm earlier this year — specifically, the “Hollywood Ending” match. Fightful Select is reporting that what caught many by surprise was that May’s AEW deal was only for two years and did not include an option for extension.
