Mike Santana Leaving TNA Wrestling

Mike Santana’s future appears to be up in the air following his TNA World Championship loss at Slammiversary 2026.

As seen in the main event of Sunday’s pay-per-view event, Nic Nemeth defeated Santana to capture the TNA World Championship, ending Santana’s latest title reign.

According to a report from Pwinsider, Santana is not scheduled to appear at this week’s TNA IMPACT! television tapings in Albany, New York, and has wrapped up with the promotion. The report adds that his current TNA contract is expected to expire within the next few days.

Earlier this month, reports indicated that WWE has interest in signing Santana. It was also noted that, should a deal come together, WWE would reportedly like to have him on the main roster before the end of the year.

At this time, however, there is no confirmation that Santana is headed to WWE. The only confirmed details are that his TNA contract is nearing its expiration, he has finished with the company, and he is not scheduled for this week’s IMPACT! TV tapings.

Santana returned to TNA in 2024 and went on to become a two-time TNA World Champion during his latest run with the promotion.
