Mick Foley Lavishes Praise On Mercedes Moné

Mick Foley has nothing but praise for Mercedes Moné and her relentless pursuit of greatness.

The former WWE Champion recently shared his admiration for Moné during AEW’s Countdown to AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door special, highlighting the level of dedication she brings to the wrestling business.

Moné once again finds herself in the finals of the Owen Hart Cup Tournament after winning the competition last year. Her 2025 victory earned her a shot at Toni Storm and the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In, but she ultimately fell short. Now, in 2026, Moné is looking to win the tournament for a second straight year and finally capture the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In.

Speaking about Moné’s mindset, Foley said he has never encountered another wrestler with the same level of determination to reach the top. He said,

“I can tell you in all my years, I don’t believe I have ever met someone as driven to be the best as Mercedes, and in AEW, there’s one way to prove that you’re the best, and that’s to win the AEW World Championship. And trust me, once you have the World Championship, you want it worse than ever.”
