Vince McMahon never missed an opportunity to belittle Jim Ross or make him feel uncomfortable, at least according to TNA’s Matt Hardy.

On a recent edition of his “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, Matt was asked about JR and the moments he was embarrassed on programming. He said,

“It was almost something that people would come to expect. Because like, Vince would put people in positions where he knew they were going to feel uncomfortable — and where he knew they would be concerned with having to do these scenarios — and it greatly entertained Vince.

“A lot of people just chalk this up to like Vince wanting to test people, but I don’t know if it was Vince wanting to test people, or if it was just Vince very into enjoying himself by making people feel uncomfortable — being an a**hole possibly.”

Infamous moments from JR’s WWE tenure include the ‘Dr. Hiney’ segment after Ross had colon surgery, and McMahon mocking JR’s Bell’s Palsy.

In 2001, Ross was ‘inducted’ into McMahon’s Kiss My Ass club in a segment that also saw The Undertaker turn heel in the process.
