Matt Cardona remains determined to finish his story and become a WWE World Champion, despite a rocky time since returning to WWE in 2026.
While Cardona won his first match back earlier this year, he has remained winless on TV since then and has lost the bulk of his matches.
During this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, new Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk vowed to be a fighting champion and listed some potential challengers.
In a response, Cardona shared a photo from late 2011, when Punk was the WWE Champion, and he was the United States Champion.
Cardona added that everybody, including himself, wants the Undisputed WWE Championship, and he isn’t finished in his quest.
A WWE World Championship is the only title that is keeping Cardona from completing both the WWE Triple Crown as well as the coveted Grand Slam.
