Malakai Black has assured fans he will see them again soon following his conditional release from AEW.

Black parted ways with the company earlier this month, after reportedly being denied his requested release the first time.

It’s believed that a personal matter led Black to choose to take an extended hiatus from wrestling.

Black competed at Prestige Wrestling’s Perseverance event last night in Pomona, California, and made an announcement regarding his pro wrestling future.

“Please allow me a few weeks or months to recalibrate myself. This is not goodbye, and we will see each other very soon.”

It has been reported that Black could take a permanent break from wrestling, though this has not been confirmed by the former NXT Champion.
