Madusa Claims She Was Almost Held Back From WWE Evolution Event

WWE Hall of Famer Madusa was nearly held back from competing at Evolution, the promotion’s first all-female wrestling event.

At the 2018 event, Madusa, aka Alundra Blayze competed in a Women’s Battle Royal which was won by Nia Jax.

Blayze recently appeared on the Café De René Livestream and mentioned nearly being snubbed from the historic event.

“It’s amazing [WWE Evolution] and it was so cool to be a part of that. So that was actually my first comeback in the ring since I retired, right? Basically, and there’s a great story to that in my book. Oh sh*t! Wait until you guys read it. It’s a good one. I wasn’t gonna go… It’s not that I wasn’t gonna go. I was already there. But, I almost got held back and there’s a story in the book about that.”

The book Blayze is referring to is her autobiography ‘The Woman Who Would Be King: The Madusa Story,’ which is scheduled for a 2023 release.
