Logan Paul has been more candid about his mindset regarding professional wrestling leading up to his match against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 39.

During a recent interview on the “Ariel Helwani Meets” podcast prior to the show, the social media influencer-turned-pro wrestler spoke about his nerves when it comes to ensuring his matches go smoothly. He said,

“I always just want it to be over. As much as I try to really live in those super special moments of extreme heat or [when I’m] mid-air, I’m not able to do that yet. I’m thinking about everything and I just want to make sure that I deliver. I have my own expectations for myself…And I fully know that I can do it, but I got to chill out. I got to make sure these people get what they paid for; it’s my job.”

Paul, whose WWE contract reportedly expired on April 1, coincidentally also his birthday, has a record of 1-2 in singles competition. He made his debut in a tag team match alongside The Miz at WrestleMania 38, defeated The Miz one-on-one at last year’s SummerSlam, and unsuccessfully challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel in November. Paul’s performance was widely and critically acclaimed.

Having sprained his meniscus and MCL during the match, Logan Paul returned at Royal Rumble, eliminating Seth Rollins and beginning a feud with The Visionary.

While he was also praised for his performance against Rollins at WrestleMania, which ended in defeat, Paul’s time with WWE appears to be over for now.
